Venomous Attacks or Hard Love

Summer is in full swing. Local swimming pools are filled with laughter, sunbathing and cannon ball splashing. Our local parks are filled with the smell of cookouts and the sounds of children playing on the monkey bars. These are the things that remind us that it's summer. For another group of people in our area, the annual gay pride festival marks the highlights of summer celebration, and this year the LGBT community is united like never before.

Evangelists Arrested By Hickory Police

Jesse Boyd has been involved in Christian evangelism for several years. His conversion happened in 1993 when he says he repented and turned to Christ. It was there his passion for the Christian-experience began and he attended numerous schools, finally receiving his Masters of Divinity degree from a California-based school.

The Church of England may have just celebrated it's first gay marriage ceremony. An Australian news outlet is reporting that an Anglican priest has conducted a "blessing" of two gay priest's civil partnership.

California Court Overturns Gay Marriage Ban

The California Supreme Court effectively overturned a gay marriage ban in the state in a 4-3 ruling. The ruling says that gay couples have the inherent right to decide who they marry. This ruling makes California the second state, after Massachusetts, to allow same-sex marriage. The ruling takes effect in thirty days.
